고대로부터 근대를 지나 현대 및 동시대에 이르는 연극은 시대에 따라 다양한 모습으로 변모하여 왔다. 본 교과목은 20세기 후반 급진적으로 진화하는 연극의 양상을 실제적 작업의 사례를 통하여 조망해 보며 동시대 우리나라와 세계의 연극 현상 중 두드러진 사례들을 체험해 보고자 한다. 이러한 과정을 통하여 미래 사회와 소통할 수 있는 진취적인 연극의 미학의 토대를 마련하도록 한다.
교과목해설(영문)
Theatre has been transformed diversely from age to age since the Classical period. This course introduces the comprehensive view over the theatre of the last half of the 20th Century as well as meaningful phenomenons of contemporary theatre of world including Korea. Students are encouraged to elaborate their own theatre esthetics which would enable them to communicate with future spectators.
